I need a little more info on the door handle insert for tthe 1989 TTA.

Is it only paint? or really a sticker/insert (like a 3D sticker)

and what logo/inscription should be on it?

 

That is a sticker that's hard to get off, but you can. 20th Anniversary inserts are available.
I have them on mine.



They came plain with just the white tape in the handle

Wasn't sure how I thought about this at first, but as long as he doesn't ever sell it as a TTA or misrepresent it as a TTA, I see no issue. Didn't the TTA start out as a GTA anyway?

 

Also, if that is a pic of the actual car, looks pretty clean.

I really don't know what it started as.

 

 

From what I read, all the 89 TTA's started as 89 GTA's and some company modified that engine to drop into them and they re-badged them. Also gave them 1LE brake's and some other stuff, if I read correctly.

 

Unless he transplants a TTA motor or GNX motor, or builds his own V6/V8 turbo. I'd love to hear more form the OP on his plans.

to reply, yes i'm cloning my GTA into a TTA...but only cosmeticly. I'm keeping my 350 in it as it run perfectly.

If I ever sell it, it will be very clear that's a GTA clone into a TTA.
It will look exactly like one, without having to keeping it in the garage all the time.
I will drive the car.

My car is an 89 GTA white with beechwood, so its a good start.
