Headlight Blackouts Do Not Fit. Anyone Else Had This?

I bought some headlight blackout kits "Wade" and there is like a inch gap on the sides therefore they do not fit. I recently ordered some GTO's and hope that they fit. Has anyone had this problem? How to fix? What to do? Suggestions Helpful. Thank You

The red car is how they are supposed to fit and those are also Wade Brand.

I know where they go, I am not a Fing idiot. It does not matter as there is a huge gap, someone else was holding it and I was snapping the pic.

Yeah, but you can clearly see it isn't wide enough no matter where you mount it. I seem to recall there being a thread like this before and the issue was a different width headlight pocket between the 82-84 and the later models. I may be wrong.

Thanks for the input, it is a 89 IROC. I ordered up some GTOs and will see when they come in if the fit or they will be going back to amazon. Thanks

I looked at my order (ebay) and in the description it does say 82-84 but then on compatible vehicles it lists "all" including 89. I have messaged the seller yesterday and today but no reply yet. Thanks for your help.

Almost all ebay auctions say 82-92 on parts that definitely will not fit. Just one of those things you need to know and not depend on listing compatibility chart.

So how'd you end up making them fit?

I ordered different ones. The ones I ordered were mis labeled as fitting "all" and was actually for 82-84's. I like the all black in front look with the bra. A lot of people on here comment about bra's but I like the look of them on the 3rd gen camaros.
