My rant-not enough 3rd Gen coverage!
I can't help but think that there is far too much coverage of all generations of Firebirds except for the 3rd Gens. Case in point-I have been searching for mini-tubs for my 87 to get wider tires under it and not have to jack it up. It seems like everybody that has parts can get you some if its a 69 or 77 or a 2012 but no one seems to know anyone that drives a 3rd Gen. let alone has parts for it. There are Pro-Touring books on the 1st, 2nd, and 4th Gen models but nothing on the 3rd. We are such outcasts.
Except for this great website, the information sources for our cars is really lacking. At least HiPo Pontiac featured some nice 3rd Gens and then it had to close(the Super Chevy subscription that replaced it is just not cutting it for me).
Sorry for the rant but I sure wish we had more support from the magazine and parts industries.
Anyway, I appreciate the people in this site for all of their contributions and would love to see someone compile a book on 3rd gen modifications...

As far as pro touring is concerned, Detroit Speed now has high end suspension parts for third gens. Also, Hotchkis still makes full suspension kits for third gens.
Agree otherwise, not a lot of third gen coverage in the mags. Big problem is our cars can't be modified in California where all of the car mags are located due to emissions testing. For example, can't replace your HO 305 with a 350 or even put good heads on the 305.
