Turn Signal Cam

I need to replace the turn signal cam. When i turn left the signal dosn't shut off. In the exploded view of the stearing column it says the cams part number is 2.896 What does that mean, it's not like a normal part number. I tried searching for it on gmpartsdirect but it's not found. All the part numbers for the stearing column parts are numbers like that.

That's the "group number"... you go to a page in the parts catalog with that number, then it lists the part numbers for specific applications by year and model or option code or whatever.

You can get it at any typical parts store, sometimes even Auto Zone type places. It's a real common part. You don't have to go to the dealer for it. Save yourself some of that "dealer parts customer interface kit" (jar of Vaseline)
