Hood modification

So, I saw an idea someone had on here, to modify the hood near the headlights. Personally, I think it looks really cool and egdy. But the guy (to0kold) has not been on in a while and I have no idea how it went. I played around with some painted cardboard and some novice photoshop work to see what my hood would look like with it and I think it came out pretty good. I think it gives it a more aggressive look and makes it even more unique. I would just like to know how difficult it would be to do on my own, or if this is something a specialty body shop could do. I attached pics of my car as well as to0kold's original as a reference. Also, I am VERY aware that people are going to throw their opinions around. Feel free to do so. It won't hurt my feelings if you don't like it or prefer it. I'm open to what people think. Just keep it friendly guys.

Re: Hood modification

P.S. You may have to squint to get a better idea of how it should look. My photoshop skills are mediocre at best. Also, for functionality. I know that this mod will slightly cover the high beams. This is of no concern for me. This car will NOT be a daily driver, will NEVER drive in anything but perfect sunny weather, and will very rarely be driven at night. On those infrequent night time drives, it will all be on city roads. No real need for high beams there. But even so, the angle only comes down about 2-3 inches and does not cover the direct center of the high beams. They will still work, just not at 100%. But as I said, this is not a problem for me at all.

I'd think you'd need some welding skills. Cut then weld on the eye flaps, grind down the welds and make it clean and flat. Repaint.

Re: Hood modification

I guess time to get a DIY fiberglass kit, make a mold, practice, etc.

I'd assume it'd be a similar process.
