4th gen firebird console differences & results

Below is a picture of the '97+ console, the standard console, and the '93-'96 console. I really want those extra cupholders, but will the seats fold down with them there?

If you've got pics of either 4th gen firebird console installed showing how they fit to the radio pod or how they match up with the seats folded down post them.

Will the seats fold down with the cupholders in the back?

Anybody?

Even if you can personally attest to how well the fourth gen console fits in your car, post it. I need to know, as I am ordering another console today. All in all it will be over 200 bucks invested in consoles (first the camaro one that didn't fit and now this)

I can only speak for my application, but I have the 93-96 TA console and it fit great. The only thing I did do was cut the Tab at the very front of it that goes under the radio console.

Since the seats are in the exact same positions as in 97+, I would hope so...Especially sine I just ordered a 97+console for my 'Bird...

Thanks alot Scott. So you're saying: the BACK seats fold down and don't cause problems. From the pic it looks like you're saying the FRONT seats fold down and don't cause any problems. Thanks for being of help and one last thing, what did you do about the cubby thing in the front?

Sory for the confusion??

I did meen the back seats,,,,they do touch..but it didn't affect anything when I hauled some stuff in mine.It dosn't hold them up or anything like that.
And as for the cubby hole I put the factory cubby hole insert in there, but somebody makes some switches that fit in there too,,I saw them on crank and chrome(they were putting nitros on a camaro and used the switches for that) and checked into them and they were aprox. $50. so I passed on that.
