Put my 88 GTA and 88 Formula on the scales

Put my 88 GTA and 88 Formula on the scales

GTA is TPI 305 5 speed with:
T-tops
leather 4th gen seats
smog pump removed
steel driveshaft
power windows, locks, trunk release and mirrors
A/C
Factory wheels
Spare/jack removed
had a quarter tank of fuel

3360 lbs on a set of CAT truck scales

Formula is TBI 305 5 speed
hardtop
cloth manual seats
has smog pump
steel driveshaft
manual windows, locks and mirrors. Does have power trunk release
A/C
Factory wheels
has spare/jack still in the hatch
3/4 tank of fuel

3300 on the same scales

Just an FYI for comparison sake

Aluminum heads, superram
Subframe connectors, wonder bar, subframe connectors
3290...

3300 is pretty light. Much lighter than these modern cars.

Thanks for posting, I have been wondering what my 84 5 speed would weigh! im guessing around 3300 as well.

My 89 formula 350 with ttops weighed 3340 with a full tank back when it was stock.

I wanted to weigh them both because one of them is getting an LS swap. Probably the Formula. Wanted to see the difference in weight between the 2.

I have a BONE stock 87 GTA w/ 35k mile I'll weigh and post up... 350 TPI/700r4 Hardtop.
