Lil advice? :(
So... im in my car parked on a side street then all i hear is crunch ! look to my left a ****ing ugly midsize crossover suv tearing off my mirror and bending out my door
So ya not jus mirror damage but door damage. seen a guy selling pair of doors on kijiji off a bird i read they are practically the same door on here so i got 1 ...but seems like its missing that edge That runs horizontally down the middle if the door, you know that out dent on the door that makes it look more aggressive ?
So my question to yall is ..should i repair the original door and swap mirrors ?
or put on the bird door on and try to get that edge done at the body shop? im guessing they would use filler to achieve the look? Plus id have to transfer the ground fx
such a hassle but i hassled that dummy who hit me for $1200 he didnt want to go through insurance. Thx for your thoughts , sorry for cussin lol

$1200 go's quick in a body shop. 3rd option. Sell the Firebird door, buy a camaro door and strip your old door of usable parts. Save or sell any extra parts you don't need with the new door.
Any way you look at this, it will be a hassle. However, if you start with the right parts, you can save yourself a lot of time, trouble and extra headaches.

Geez. Could have been worse though. You could have been chilling with your arm resting on the side of the door. Yea, these mirrors are not forgiving as they are bolted solid to the door and will pull the door with it when hit. I remember several years ago a friend hit a mail box in his Camaro and did about the same damage and racked the door into the jam.

Re: Lil advice? :(
You need a new door and then to have the door painted. Doors run $50-200 down in the states depending on the condition. If you can remove the old door and install the new one and sand it down to bare metal you stand to make a profit on this. Maybe $600-700. The downside is that junkyard doors are notorious for having bad hinges, bad window lift motors and broken window tracks and guides. Take a bunch of pictures of your door with the interior panel off and take a few minutes to read some of the threads here on window motor replacement and glass adjustment. Learn how the window is moved. Then swap over anything you need to. Honestly, getting the door(s) off and a new one on is the hardest part.

Seeing the gap at the top of that door seam tells me that your better off getting another door.
Like Tibo said; BE SURE that the UPPER hinge on the replacement door is good. A bad lower hinge is usually "easy" to deal with - but the upper hinge is welded to the door and not worth trying to fix if it's bad.
A bad upper hinge is reason enough by itself to get a replacement door so it's important that the upper hinge is good on any replacement you buy.

It's best to buy a door with good, tight hinges but if you can't you can replace the replaceable parts and then if it is still sagging you can buy the door alignment tool and bend the hinge up a little. That is a last ditch effort though. Even I don't want to replace a welded on hinge...

In 1991 one of my friend's mom nailed my then new white RS in the door just about like the OP's. One body shop estimated $1600 for the repair and another shop said $600. It ended up costing $1600. My friend's mom wrote the check and covered it.
I think you can fix it for less than $1200 but if a body shop does all the work don't be surprised if it ended up being $1500+
