Okay guys, need your opinion..
Getting ready to order my stripe kits and emblems. I painted the car 2010 Camaro Rally Yellow. Now I don't know which color to go with for stripes and emblems. I've attached pictures of the car, and the two emblems I'm torn between silver/black or gold/black...

Re: Okay guys, need your opinion..
My personal choice would be the silver. The gold ones I would always look at as matching the yellow... but not matching... if that makes sense. The silver I would see as being noticed, but nicely standing back on the car at the same time. If your staying with the gold IROC rims, then I may go gold. If not, then the silver.
That's just me.

Re: Okay guys, need your opinion..
Pretty much what I was thinking too. It's originally a yellow car and it came with the gold emblems. I think I want to make this yellow with black accents and the silver/black should look pretty good.
And no, going to polish and repaint the wheels black..

Re: Okay guys, need your opinion..
I ordered the black/silver combo and the stripes look awesome. The IROC-Z door decals are silver that fade to a lighter silver. I was hoping they would be darker. There's a black set on Ebay for cheap. Just wondering if anyone has ever used the cheap Ebay decals or if it's going to cause more trouble than it's worth?

I can not remember the sellers name. It was about 9 years ago but they were EBAY. They are stock replicas in design.
There Black in color and of good quality.
They came in a nice hard cardboard roll . Packaged very well.
I do not scrub hard or use wax or sealer other then very lightly around them. Not on them, and they still look great.

By the way if you look at the edge of the door you can just barely see the "edge guard" to protect the outside edge.
You can get it at your local auto parts store and paint it any color you want. Mine were done at the same time as the New Paint.
Its just a "U" shaped channel with a adhesive strip inside.
Some times my door when open will rest lightly against the side of the car port and this protects the paint.
It works really well.

Ron, I LOVE your car... I hope mine turns out as good. Got to know what kind of wheels those are. I think they would look awesome on mine if I can't revive my stock wheels.
What do you guys think? Black like Ron's or silver like the ones pictured below on my bright yellow?

I think silver but that's tough. It will look good either way. I had a set of those wheels on a 65 Chevelle. I think American Racing made them but can't remember what series the were. Convo pros are also similar.

Silver/Black would make a nice contrast to your paint. Gold/Black is too close to yellow.

I would go with black.
You can get the AR-23's at Jegs Performance with free shipping.
The photos of them on line do not do them justice.
Here's a link to a thread that shows them how they truly are.
As you scroll down through the thread there are two other cars with them.
One is DonW's pictured below.
Same exact setup I had but now I have a set of "Mickey Thompson" tires on my rear.
Link = https://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/w...er-cobras.html

Also,
Don't forget that the AR 23s are a "CLEAR COATED" Aluminum Alloy wheel.
All you do is wash them with soap and water. Nothing else.
You can scratch the clear coat.
Mine still look almost as good today as when I bought them 10 years ago.

God, those look good on red and black. You think they'd look as good on yellow? Lots of young guys tell me to go with the black wheels but I hate them..

Re: Okay guys, need your opinion..
The AR 23 I'm is a timeless wheel that toe looks good on any vehicle but I am kinda old school so the younger generation may not agree. I had a set on a 2 door 65 Malibu and the looked phenomenal to me. Everyone complimented on the wheels. If I remember right mine had black inserts painted on them, either way they would look great on yellow I'm.

Re: Okay guys, need your opinion..
The original "yellow" irocs could've had either, and my personal fave is gold. Of course, I'm biased, LOL. ....and....when the yellow cars did have gold, they also had the tan interior and gold accent wheels. Without all of it, I think you made the right choice in going silver.

Re: Okay guys, need your opinion..
Personally I'm not a huge fan of black wheels on cars. Like 'em on trucks because they have that feel of functional, bare bones, necessity over over shine and sparkly appearance. Still, I've seen some awesome cars with black wheels.
....that being said, I think if you have Iroc door decals, and Iroc stripes....ya need Iroc wheels. I feel they kinda all go together.

You did an awesome job on your paint, it really looks good! With the emblem and stripe choice you can't go wrong with a 17 or 18" IROC replica wheel in the machined face black insert combo. That style just looks right in an IROC. Your car will look modern and timeless.

OK,
Here is the AR-23 B
As in "Black"
Here's a Link to Jegs Performance = http://www.jegs.com/p/American-Racin...12951/10002/-1
The reason I keep saying "Jegs" is because of there excellent customer service, low prices, return polices and free shipping on a huge selection of aftermarket parts for our cars.
At the very least everyone should have one of there free catalogs.
I tried the black ones out here.
This is a really cool tool that can be used to see tires and wheels on your car offerd by "Tire Rack. = https://www.tirerack.com/wheels/resu...&package=false

I'll fully agree on Jegs, really awesome place to deal with. You can't go wrong on either Jegs or Summit. Both have free shipping and beat a price guarantees. Dealt with both many many times, always great experiences. And if your in their areas where their stores are, fun to walk around also. Time will fly by.
