TRANS AM FENDER: 2 HOLES

Hey all...I just have a question and I would Greatly appreciate a little feedback.
I have two small perfectly circular holes (size of a pencil eraser) on my 1982 trans am fender.

My question is if this would be a problem later? Would water (from rain or elsewhere) cause the hole to rust?

Should I get this repaired possible?

Re: TRANS AM FENDER: 2 HOLES

It will rust if there's exposed bare metal.

You can have it professionally repaired, but the outline of the holes will eventually come back in time after the paint cures.
