A missing gear of release hatch motor
Hi
I have a problem with my hatch of firebird 91, when push the release button the motor goes up and goes down, but not release, because maybe have a missing 'gear'
this 'gear' turn the piece on the picture (red/blue circle) on the other side, between release motor and tail lights
I don't have a picture of it, only a incomplete 'gear' (red arrows) in the old release motor, the new motor does not have the screws that hold the gear, (green circles) new vs old motors
Anyone have a picture of this gear?

Its not a gear its the unlock mechanism that turns as the unit goes up and opens the latch. Its missing on the left one

The mechanism is only this piece or I need another one?

Yes the other part you need is a small spring loaded plastic lever that makes contact with the ramp protruding out of the latch release block you have. The manual latch release cable is attached to the front side with a hex head screw. The other end of that cable attaches to the backside of the key cylinder that you turn to unlock the hatch. The lever is on the back side (opposite of where the manual hatch release cable is attached). It is common for that lever and spring to fall off or break off. I'll look for a picture of it and post it if I find it.
