Yeah Phillips Muscle car parts in Tulsa, I wouldn't do it and end up like all the rest but good for garage queen I think I would go Fiberglass and avoid that
IIRC these were like 1400 new back when available
its not NOS its a new takeoff

Reason: added info
How is a new take off NOS? Either way, you can see where the factory ran the foam tape. I think it should have been put on so it helped direct water around the bolt then towards the back.
$900 is crazy. I’ve had 2 mint uncracked ones before and they’re a hard sell for $200each since everyone knows it will crack sooner then later if it’s not cracked already.
And new car Takeoff or NOS, it's an uncracked wing that's been stored flat, in the proper box and in a climate-controlled warehouse for decades. Somewhere out there is someone restoring one of these cars who will want the original part.
I've yet to see one of the aftermarket wings that looks right. every one I've seen has blades that are too fat and that are rounded at the ends. If you took one of those aftermarket wings and had it worked over to look right, I'd bet you'd have over 900 in it.
To get the right look, I'd pay 600 for that wing in a minute. I just can't go 900, but that's my issue, not a problem with the his valuation of it.
In the end, the market will decide. Someone will either pay the price he's asking, or he'll take it off the market, or drop the price.
The repro is 100 times lighter and wont warp and distort. I wouldn't buy a NOS even if it was same price as the repro.
Agree on the weight and longevity, however, these cars are finally become of interest to collectors. Someone doing a pure restoration would want a NOS wing, and would be willing to pay for it.

Beautiful car I think they're using pics of your car on the ad for the wing at Hawks/
I too bought the Hawk's wing. Bruce assured me they made the molds off an original wing, and I believe him, BUT the blades are not right at the front of the car. They are too thick and change the whole aspect of the wing.
My Hawk's wing was 652.53 after shipping and tax. That guy wanted 900 for his NOS wing. By the time the fiberglass guy is done reworking the Hawks wing to look right, I'll have well over 900 in it.
Thanks Sean! Its the Wife's project. After 10k in paint, the work put into the wing getting it ready was "in the noise" so to speak!
Yeah Hawks is using my car in the pics for the 17"s.
