I like them. $40 is an excellent deal, too.

I don't particularly care for them on our cars but if you like them, it sounds like a good deal. Do you have or will have subwoofers? If so, would the louvers rattle? That really annoys me. Just my opinion, the coolest thing about doing stuff to our cars is we make them OUR cars, which are a reflection of us as individuals because no two people are the same. Go with what is you and what you want and your car will be sweet.

You have the high mount brakelight that sits in a pod on the outside of your rear glass, right? If so, make sure the louvers will clear it. My family had an '86 for a while and whoever had owned it before had bent the louvers up making them fit. Also, be aware that the metal mounts will scratch the metal around the window. Easily remedied though. I had a friend that painted the mounts with that rubber tool dip (dunno what it's called). You can get it at any hardware store and it will keep them from scratching + eliminate some rattle.

Hi, I got a picture of my car the day I bought it back in July. I have since removed the factory louvers but it was a 'REAL' toss-up for me since it is my show-summercar. It is all original and has only 36,000 on it. But back to you, if you like them then get um!
Oh yeah I almost forgot, like someone else said earlier make sure they are for an 86 because of the 3rd brake light!

IMO

I dont' know why but I think the louvres look horrible. I have a 91 Z28 with the spoiler and I would really prefer the small spoiler with the side pieces. I think one of the coolest looking things on these cars is the larg rear window and the smooth line of the roof and window coming down. Both the louvres and big spoiler disrupt this. Just my opinion. i guess I should look for a 90 Iroc without louvres.

I was thinking about putting them on my car, but I'm not sure if they would look good. I think they look good on Irocs, the louvers go with the iroc hood well.

Louvers are there for two excellent reasons:

Keeping sun out from damaging your rear compartment/interior

Keeping people from seeing what you have in the back

I love mine...Some of the louvers look ****ty, like the ones that have like 4-5 louvers only...Mines got 7-9.
