Question about painting driver side spoiler?

when i bought my camaro the drivers side spolier was broken. the middle and the passanger side are fine. this is the question i bought i drivers side piece off ebay. so do u think i should paint the piece myself and i don't have a lot of body work expericence. or should i just bring it to a body shop to get it painted? by the way my car isred and the spoiler piece is blue right now. also how much around would i cost to get it painted at a body shop? and if i painted it my self what type of paint should i use?
thanx

It depends on how good the paint job is on the rest of your car. If the car's paint is mint then invest the money to get it done right. If the car's paint is showing problems (like the front is all chipped) then do the job yourself and save some money until you can get the whole car done.

The cheapest route to go is to get a couple cans of automotive touch up paint from Walmart in the color you need. (The red that they recommend for a '91 camaro is VERY! close to the actual color of my '91.) They also sell clear coat (however I didn't use it when I did my front GFX). After painting you'll need to put significant effort into wetsanding and polishing. When all done, the results can be very good.
