So I m looking for a source to purchase the Body Stripes on my 1987 Z28. This has 4 distinct stripes.
And yes the car came this way. I did a searched, no luck on a source.
Be careful of the vinyl source because most companies didn't pay proper attention to the stripes graduating smaller towards the rear of the car. Most companies keep each stripe the same width all the way down the car.
If you find a place to source those let me know. The 1987 stripes are unique to that year. I couldn’t find a reproduction. I had to go with a 1986 stripe and add silver in the gaps. Close, but not the same. And definitely not tapered towards the bumpers as they ought to be.

Thanks for pointing that out as the stripes on my 87 do not taper down. I looked at the picture of what is believed to be my car at Norwood before it was delivered to the first owner and yes they do taper down.
I am going to talk with a local car wrapping store to see what they can do.

What about Phoenix Graphics? The link takes you right to the 85-86 Z28 Stripe Kit. According to their site, they don't have a specific one for a 87 Z28, 87 used the 85-86 Stripes. 87 lower body stripes on Z28 still numbered 4, but gap between the top three stripes was removed. As you can see, Phoenix Graphics do list it as 4 stripes for the 85-86 Stripe kit. You better call them first and ask them if that is how they have it. You might want to get more info because the picture that you shared of what is believed to be yours before it was delivered to the FO, it does have the gap between the stripes like the 85-86.

Thanks for saying that about the Stripes on the rear, my 85 Z28 was repainted by the PO and the stripes are gone. I am going to paint mine on next year when it's time to do the body work.

Not sure I understand adding silver to the gaps idea. From what I can tell from a photo of what is believed to be my 87 at Norwood, the 86 stripes are the same. Do you have a photo of an 87 camaro that shows different?
Looking at 1985 cars, they appear to have the same stripe layout with a color gap between each stripe. So, what makes the 1987 stripe different from 1985 and 1986? The taper on the rear?

I went back and read the article on 3rdgem.org about the changes in the 87 year and it even stated that they removed the gap between the stripes. How I missed that the 1st time? I will call P. Graphics and see what can be done. Thanks. ED

I got my stripes from Phoenix. They don't make and probably don't plan to make a kit for '87. I wound up having to use stripes for an '86 and then used a 1/8" 3M silver stripe to "fill the gap" that was removed in '87. It's not perfect (close up) but I think it does a pretty decent job replicating the factory stripe. I still have to live without the tapered bumper though.

Why did you add the gaps between the colors? If you have an 87 then it is correct to not have the gaps. 85-86 had the gaps. Unless you are saying the PG 85-86 kit does not have the gaps and you needed to add them because you have an 85 or an 86.

I have an 87 and had to use a PG 86 stripe kit. By adding the silver stripe I actually eliminated the gaps that were present on the 86 stripe.
Okay, I understand that. But why didn't you just cut out the gaps and lay them on top of each other? To me, adding Silver stands out and makes it look like there are gaps.

I put these stripes on probably 15 years ago. I could have definitely cut them out and laid them on top of each other, but that OEM 87
wouldn’t have looked 87 though either, as 87 had colored stripes the same colors as the ground effects in between. My solution is not perfect but gets closer to original 87 than 86.
