Top Down Solutions roller pin trouble

Anybody got any tricks? I’ve tried heating up the big pin and freezing the roller pin, even putting lube on it. No matter what I do, it wants to go in crooked. How in the world do I get this thing pressed in?

When I needed to do mine, I found everyone had problems. All sorts of various techniques, but everyone basically fought the thing and said they wouldn't do it again. I paid a little bit extra and just replaced the entire hinge with a new pin and roller already in it. Took minutes.

It’s almost like I have to make a custom jig for my shop press to keep everything aligned.

I think I started the pin in the vice and then finished in the press. I don't remember having much of a problem

Mine was a bitch to get in correctly and even then it didn't seat like it should. Personally it's a design issue if everyone has the same problem. Tolerances are too tight.
