To keep or toss the side door bumper thingys?

To keep or toss the side door bumper thingys?

The rubber strip that runs down the side of the body. Should I keep them, run without, or try to find some new ones? Mine are wavy.
I was thinking of making a quick wooden jig and using the heat gun to straighten them back out. Wouldn't be too hard.

It all depends on the car's use. Is it a weekend only car that never gets left alone in any parking lots? Sure, delete them, the car looks sleeker without them. But, if the car sees regular use and gets parked anywhere out of your sight, by all means keep & fix or replace them, the rubber strips look WAY better than the chipped paint caused by the ignorant MFers who swing their doors open to smash into someone's nice paint like the self entitled jerks they are......
