Mirror guts help

I bought 3rd Gen Camaro mirrors to use on my Porsche 944 (LS Swapped). It looks a million times better IMO with these mirrors.

Well the drivers side mirrors pivot was broken, so the yard I got them from gave me a new mirror, well the base has a different mounting point than the first set I got. I already sprayed them and really don’t want to paint a new mirror because it most likely won’t match. Can any of you folks tell me what mirror I need? And if you have one you’d like to sell I’d gladly buy the guts from you!

I will include a picture of the mirror bases. The one with no glass attached is what I need.

Re: Mirror guts help

Off the top of my head, the only other car that uses a similar looking side mirror is the 1984-96 Corvette. Maybe one of your mirrors is from one of those?

Re: Mirror guts help

Some Monte Carlo trims had the third gen looking mirror, as did some trim caprices and also the Fiero... I thought they all mounted the same though.

Re: Mirror guts help

Pretty sure the door mirrors changed sometime around 84 or 85. Both the manual version and the power version had different housings and guts. While they all look the same when assembled,.. they are very different when taken apart.
