Can a 82-84 front bumper fit on my 88?

I’ve been looking at the front bumpers on the 82-84 and like the look of it more. Just wondering if they will line up with my car?

It will fit, but the impact bar will be different and so will be the crash absorber.. youll need to grab those from the newer model

I think the side profile is be different. This may not mattrr
if you’re installing ground effects though. You’ll also need new headlight buckets. The 82-84 are more square and the later years are more curved.

Early design:

Later design:

Not to hijack, but what's behind the front bumper cover, of my 1989 IROC Z Vert? Metal, honeycomb plastic? Thanks.

It's a metal bar with a plastic "honeycomb" (looks sort of like a milk crate) piece attached to it

This is what my car has behind the bumper fascia. This is a 1984 Trans Am. Not sure if later Firebirds / Trans Ams have different pieces.
