Metal Prep for DP90
I have been spending days with paint stripper, wire cup wheel, DA sander, and my 1/2 inch small belt sander getting this radiator core support ready to apply DP90. I have it almost ready at bare metal, however, there are a few areas where there is some pitting that I can't get off without grinding a bit of metal away. So, before spraying DP90 what is the best cleaner, rust remover, or converter to use? The DP90 product data sheet says you can't use it over etch or wash primers. I was considering using Ospho since I also get a real light flash rust since it is taking several days (all the nooks and crannies). I have it inside a warm dry shop so it is minor flash rust.

I am not finding those locally. I do have some Ospho. Is it basically the same as DX 579? Any alternatives to these? I need to get the painting done on Monday and Tuesday so looking for something I can get locally.

Decided against the Ospho and went with grinding and sanding. I did a converter coating and then shot it with DP90. Came out looking good with the DP90.
