After pulling up carpet on my project, found out floor is rusted out completely. My question is is it worth pulling the intake with throttle bodies, air induction hood before I call the scrapper. Are they worth anything resale?

Re: 83 Z28 Crossfire 305

Depends a lot on if there is a buyer for the parts? CFI is not really all that desirable. Granted, there is a buyer (for the right price) for everything (or parts).
Hate to see another 3rd gen off to the crusher too. Why not be honest, and try to sell the entire car to another person who could use it for parts?

The CFI stuff has a market and is becoming more desirable to the right folks, especially indy pace care restorers. The floors can be replaced easily enough FWIW so I would recommend trying to sell the car whole with that disclosed.

The hood would be worth a pretty-penny if it's still in good shape as '83 had a one year only hood (functional flaps AND fiberglass).

TLDR. . . do what you will, but the early cars are much less common and if you have the drive to replace the floors you'd have a more unique beast than most other thirdgen owners.

signed - totally biased '83 Z28 owner.
