In a 83 z28 could all you get was a carb. or was there fuel injection

 

There was a fuel injection system called Cross-Fire Injection. It was phased out after the 83 model year and replaced with the 305 HO motor.

 

Do the cross fire cars have a different hood?

 

Yes, they are also referred to as a ram air since the hood louvers at the back open for direct airflow into the intake. The hood style is the same, but the functional cowl induction made the diference in hoods.

Does any body have a pic of the cross fire hood and did all z28 that year get fiberglass hoods?

 

Yes, all Z28's got the fiberglass hoods. The hood looks identical to the regular Z28 hood except the black louvers at the rear of the indents open, as seen in the pic.
