Replacing Inner Wheel Well Passenger Side Aligning

I had to replace toe boards, upper frame rail, radiator core support and the inner wheel liner with strut tower due to rust. I have reinstalled the donor upper frame rail and radiator core support. All the dimensions are correct for those items. I am at the point of putting in a donor wheel liner but ran into an issue. I test fit the donor wheel liner with it butted up to the firewall and test fit the new battery tray at the same time. Everything seems to fit from the firewall forward to the radiator core support. All of the chassis dimenstions are correct except two. In the drawing below, I indicate them as "A" and "B". "A" is supposed to be15 3/4 inches but mine in test fit is 14 7/8 inches. "B" is supposed to be 57 1/2 inches but mine in test fit is 57 inches. Thinking the donor wheel liner is different from the original, I put my original in as a test fit by lining up the drilled out spot welds. To my surprise my original is "A" at 14 7/8 inches and "B" at 57 inches the same as my donor wheel liner. The drawing I think implies that the dimensions the same and could be applied in a similar fashion to the driver's side wheel liner and strut tower. So, I proceeded to check the driver's side and I found that the "A" dimension is again 14 7/8 inches and the "B" dimension is 57 inches. I can only think that the drawing is incorrect. The drawing is from the 1992 Camaro Factory Service Manual. Can anyone confirm what I am seeing and if the manual is actually wrong?

Re: Replacing Inner Wheel Well Passenger Side Aligning

As you can see by my posts, I have several activities going on body and frame work. I haven't found any information on the dimensional difference between my car's actual measurements and the upper suspension dimensions on the drawing above. The driver's side is original so it appears it never matched the factory drawing when it was built. So, to properly install the passenger's side donor wheel well I guess I will go with making the dimensions match those from the driver's side. That means I have to fill a gap of about 3/16 to 1/4 inch between the back of the wheel well and the front of the firewall. So I will add a piece of steel flat bar in the gap. I am hoping to get the wheel well welded in this weekend.

I am adding one more dimensional check that I don't see on the factory drawing. This additional check is the angle of the slope to the top where the upper front strut mounts. Right now in test fit I have the slope of those matching to 1 degree of each other. I put a level from the upper front strut mounting bolt hole on driver's side to the passenger's side to double check it hasn't moved since I put the front and rear frame rails on blocks. I then put an inclinometer on the top of the upper front strut mount on each side. They are within 1 degree so the center of the strut tower bearings are tilted in the same amount.
