Hello! Tried Searching the forum for some advice, couldn't find it. What is everyone's thoughts/opinions on the underbody heat shields. I have my rear end out right now and and working on getting it back in. My heat shields are a bit dirty and has top rust on a few spots. Do you powder coat these things? Just bead blast? Or just leave alone and reinstall!?

 

I took a wire wheel to my heat shields then used high temp aluminum paint.

Here's an update. I used VHT Flat Aluminum spray after I wire wheeled them. Will get them on soon!

 

I had mine powdercoated. I probably would have used high temp paint but I dropped them off with all the other stuff I was getting coated at the time.

 

High temp ceramic coating is a good option
