Hi,About a year or two ago I had to replace the factory original Gm interior door handle on the driver side door because the pot metal handle developed a crack and broke off. I looked around at the time online and all of the replacements seemed to be the same generic Chinese part so I bought one and installed it. Today the pot metal part that pulls the release broke off and now I have to roll down the window to get out again!
I know in general,most of the aftermarket parts are garbage these days. Has anyone else here experienced this too? It's only $9.99 to get another one,but I'd like it to last longer than a year or two before breaking. Are there any ones that are higher quality without searching for nos and paying an insane price?

 

Nobody here has had to replace this piece before and had any issues with the repro ones?

 

I did years ago, but i used a JY part. Probably still your best bet, to get a used OE piece. Related, but useless data!, i read in one of my "3rd gen books that inner handle is some hi tech piece, not ordinary pot metal. Yeah, i know.
