New door pin and bushing not installing perfectly

I bought the pin and bushing kit off Hawks. Everything went really well, including the install of the upper two bushings. The top pin and nut went in perfectly, but the bottom one has a bit of an issue, I'm talking bottom pin of the top hinge. The bushing installed without issue. I can spin it per the instructions and the pin drops in just fine. However, there's about a .035 thou gap between the bottom

flat of the pin and the hinge surface. I can't for the life of me get it to sit down any further. Had it in and out a few times. It will not sit flat against the hinge. I don't think it's an issue. Just wondering if anyone else has had an issue like that.
