'83 Trans Am Bumper Compoents Missing

Long Story Short: Dropped my car off with a guy to get painted, a year later he got kicked out of his shop and a bunch of parts on my car went missing... I had handed over some money for him to get a new bumper but he never ended up getting it and my original probably ended up in the trash.

I ended up purchasing a new bumper from classic but discovered that there are some components missing from my car and I'm unable to install it. I believe I am missing #'s 54 and 53 from the photo below:
Bumper Assembly Parts Diagram

Does any one know what these are called? Also, did these parts change in the later years (there's an '90 and a '87 in a junk yard near by)

(Bonus: is there anywhere where I can buy the entire set of drawings? That would make life a lot easier)

TIA

(Edit: Updated broken link)

I wasn't able to open the link you provided, but for a complete list of parts and illustrations check austinthirdgen. If '86 trans am bumper parts will work for you I have a complete bumper here. Farm fresh.

Thanks for the tip! I updated the link in my post so it should work now. Those photos are really helpful thanks! I'm going to check to see what is currently on my car and compare them to what you have!

Sure thing. So you need some headlight parts? I forgot I have complete headlights with working flip up assbly . I was using them as a shoplight. Hooked up a dimmer switch to the motors so I can aim them up and down. I don't mind parting them out as long as I don't have to eat it on shipping. Everything seems to be in good shape. I could post pics if it helps you out.

Re: '83 Trans Am Bumper Compoents Missing

headlight assemblies are not interchangeable between early firebirds (82-84) and later ones (85-up). the motors have different plugs and the bucket assembly has a different front profile. you can check out pictures in this post
part #54 is a headlight retainer ring. any 82-92 ring should work. most of the ones you find in the junkyard are broken. new ones can be found HERE.
hard to tell what #53 is. it's either the headlight adjustment screw or headlight retainer screw.
adjustment screw you can find in the help aisle at the parts store
retainer screw is just a short philips head coarse thread screw.

Re: '83 Trans Am Bumper Compoents Missing

Are you missing the headlight or the bumper parts?

if its the bumper my guess is you are missing the metal brace with the hood bumpers in the second picture, those and the metal brackets and nuts on each side that bolt the bumper to the fenders.
