So i purchased a fiberglass front end.. And i didn't really understand the wording. "Race weight" . So this piece is thin, very thin. My question Can ,more fiberglass be added to the back of it to strengthen it up.

Don't see why more fiberglass can't be added, assuming the proper prep is done to the surface. What is your end goal though?

Re: Fiberglass front end ,Need Advice
Well i want to put it on the car and make the car a daily. So it needs to be strong enough so that a strong breeze doesn't punch a hole in it, The bottom will be shortened by a couple inches and the ground effects sides will have the 91 holes removed ,so its looks more 85ish . I like how the nose and ground effect sit level not canted up . I like the look of the front of the 91 lip vs the 85 and i get that. So yes a lot of work, but would be worth it for those 2 things. But only if i can get it stronger .

Yes, you can. As Dennis says, depends/probably needs some prep. Rough it up with some 320 and get started. May be better to just use square fiberglass tubing around the edges and leading edge of the bumper and a layer of glass mat or fabric over that. You'll probably need to add some mounts for it anyway, depending on how you're putting it on the car. While as-is it'll probably survive going down the highway/racetrack at 100, it won't. survive a grocery cart rolling into it, pretty much whatever you do to it.

I'd probably go with some marine-grade fiberglass, as they will have different rate hardeners. I find the autoparts-grade stuff sets up way too fast for any meaningful work time. But we live in h3!!'s swamp, so there are only about 3 days a year it's not OMG hot, making the resin set while you're mixing it.

the issue with adding more to it, the heat when its curing will probably warp it.

Id send it back, and ask them to make you another with added backing on it to strengthen it.
it will be much easier for them to do, then you to do, and its in their molds so it doesn't distort it.

Here is the thread that I made when I did mine. It covers a lot of things that you want to do. Note: I used the original fiberglass headlight support and bonded it to the inside of the fiberglass piece. This does two things, it allows you to bolt the entire assembly to the car at the fenders and radiator support, and it also allows you to mount the original headlights on the car. The thread also covers sectioning the lower spoiler and reinforcing the grill opening which allows the license plate mount to be removed. I hope this helps.

that sucks.
i used to build bodies, if i customer wanted something out of the ordinary it was real easy to add strength and get it set up the way they wanted before we got out the chopper gun and started spraying.
Odd they wont do that for you.
