Brake/Clutch Bracket and Firewall Pad

I finally got going again on reassembling my 92 Camaro. The new firewall pad has cutouts for the brake rod and the 4 mounting bolts. So, in putting the brake/clutch bracket back in, the firewall pad is sandwiched between the firewall and the bracket. Is that correct? I also put in one of those brake firewall reinforcing plates so it is between the firewall and the firewall pad and then the bracket on top of that. If it is correct to sandwich the firewall pad, should the nuts on the booster studs use blue thread locker (they are flange nuts)?

Re: Brake/Clutch Bracket and Firewall Pad

My pedal mount was over the padding in my car stock. I removed the insulation in that area when I swapped my pedals out and added stiffening plates.

Carpet was sandwiched in there from the factory but when I did my swap I just cut the carpet back, no threadlocker either (several years later, still good).
