Has anyone found a roof center divider that fits?
Reading reviews and posts on here it seems like the OER unit is garbage. Trying to find something to replace the completely rotted piece on my car

By roof divider do you mean the t-top bar? You can buy a stainless one for $200 and not worry about it again.

That's the correct part. I've seen the stainless one that multiple people sell but OER appears to make. I've read over two dozen reviews that say it either doesn't fit or is welded together backwards.

Weld on a hardtop and the problem will be solved forever...

I've been running a factory piece (cleaned up and repainted) for decades and it's held up fine. You may want to just look for a used (but clean!) piece on eBay or hawks. If you're removing the tops regularly (and particularly after a wash) then the channels should dry out and be fine for a long long time.

Ordered the stainless one from an Ebay seller. I already sourced a rust-free replacement but like wanted to "upgrade" to stainless.
It would not fit flush at the front. I sent pictures and the vendor approved an RMA with me paying the return shipping and restocking fee.
My two cents (wasted) the reviews are correct the part is junk. Now I "think" it could have been made to work if you wanted to drill out the rivets that connect the beauty trim to the mount plate, adjust the fit and rivet again. But I did not want to start alerting a brand-new part that was supposed to fit.

Id love to find a good used one, but everyone I've seen so far looks as bad as mine.
I would be totally ok with drilling the rivets and adjusting if it was made well enough for that to be possible.
I found a post on here last night after I made this one that said the hawks unit fit perfectly. I realize it's 2.5x the price, but I wonder if they have a different manufacturer or if someone just got lucky with the same oer piece.
As for welding on a hardtop: while ignoring the pervasive rust issues those suffer from alone, I fully intend on growing a sweet ****** when this car becomes drive able, and the hardtop just doesn't allow the wind to flow through your locks the same way

Re: Has anyone found a roof center divider that fits?
Years ago i bought the Stainless steel version through Hawks and I had 0 fitment issues. that being said, I have a nice hardtop roof cut in stock and i am only a few hours away from Tampa in Chiefland FL. Includes all the weatherstip trim that screws to the body. happy to send pictures if your interested. In my salvage career, parting out about 8 cars in the last year... Not one good t top bar. Atleast not on a parts car. They either rot the t-top bar, OR they rot out the j channels. In my experience its usually one and not the other. Good luck on your search either way!

I appreciate the offer, I wouldn't be interested. However, I know my neighbor needs one for his 92, so I'll gauge his interest this evening.

I went ahead and ordered the hawks piece.
Airwolfe was nice enough to send me an OEM option as well, but for the price I'm willing to gamble on the hawks unit.
Ironically, the OEM piece is less than 10 miles from me. Ive spoken with the seller previously.
