thanks guys for the responses-
here's are some pics. for you guys to see exactly what i'm talking about-to me it looks like it might work-but the sides have to be cut and angled properly to fit the hatchback cause on a convertible the surface is flat whereas on a hatchback it has that little curve. the trunk piece is no problem, just screws right on!
well, keep the responses coming, i'm pretty sure i'm not the only one that thought of this idea!
the reason i want to know if it will fit is that i'm deciding wether to put that on, or a wing/spoiler- so any help is much needed!!!
thanks

I have a couple of questions...
1st, is the car in the pic a Firebird? Looks like a Camaro to me. The base firebird convertible 91-92 may have used the same spoiler as the Camaro but I'm pretty sure they didn't. The 91-92 T/a's used a different spoiler and fairings that looks more like the standard wrap around spoiler.
2nd, Why would you want to change from the wrap around spoiler to the base model spoiler?
The reason ASC used the different spoiler and the fairings is pretty simple. They needed to cover the tops of the quarter panels where they were cut, hence the fairings. The fairings made it impossible to use the normal spoiler. Since we don't have those problems with a hardtop or ttop car, there isn't any reason to try to make the convertible spoiler work. Besides that, convertible parts aren't cheap, or easy to come by, why waste those parts and the $$$ just to be different?

it just so happens Drew that i like that wraparoud fin (whatever you call it) better then the stock gta's wing cause, well, its just boring-and yes the conv. wraparound looks better-not saying that i'm trying to be "different", but it would look better, which is what i'm trying to do-
and those pics are from a 91 firebird conv. (my dads!)
unfortunatly 88 WS6 TransAm GTA, no, i'm not getting rid of any parts, -my dad would kill me!
it looks like when i get some money to come by, i'm gonna try to fit it!
