What year guages are a direct bolt in for 86 IROCZ??

Mines ****ed up so Iam going to the junkyard ina few weeks when I get my first paycheck with my new job to see what they have, they have several thirdgen camaros there last time I was there,so what years guages(I am replacing all of them) would be a direct bolt in with an 86??I think any82-90 would work, correct me if I am wrong,I am looking for either a 15 speedo or a 145 spedo and I am not paying $75-100 for one either thats why i am going to the junkyard

To find the speedo you want, you need to find a late '86-'89 for your donor.

Thats fine if all you want is the original 85mph speedo, they are the same. But if you want to upgrade to the higher speed ones, you need the years I specified above.

nope...you guys need to look at this with alittle more thinking....an 89 will NOT work due to the plastic/coppoer wire strip in back.....i have tried installing a 89 rs cluster in my 84 and everything went haywire...i think it may have to do with the vats system or just a totally different wiring set up

but, you CAN switch the gauges from a newer cluster to an old cluster...thats works...i have a voltage guage from a 89 rs in my 84...

what gauage is messed up?.....its less work to change the guage then pulling the whole cluster...you got a/c?...have fun, its tight!

if just the guage is messed up it will take a 5mm socket and 10 minutes time to be back on track
