water leaking into pass side floor

some people can relate to this problem, since I have most of my interior removed dash,rug..ect.. I found a small rust hole in the bottom right corner of the firewall under the blower cavity next to the body seams. I have my entire climate control system removed so I can look under the hood and inside the car and clean all the loose rust and dirt out of the way. I plan on using some heavy duty rust nuetralizer chemical and patching it up with some some type of fiberglass epoxy. I plan on taking preventive maintenance measures to keep water and debris away from the firewall, which trap water and accelerate rust, once the car is road ready again. I will post pics to clarify and update this post when the repair is made. any suggestions on products or repair methods? the hole is only about an inch wide. I have succesfully stopped other small rust spots on my car with zinc oxide and rust stop...right now I have permatex* end rust.
