Plastic Trim on T-Top?

The trim peice (the part that over hangs the window) on one of my t-tops is cracked and broken. Is there any way to fix this, is it something i can take off and replace, or do i just need to get a new top? Thanks for any help.

hey guys, had to bring back an oldie in hopes it can help me. i want to replace the black plastic piece that comes right after the glass on the exterior of the t-top, above the seal. i can't tell from the diagram which # it is. 4,3, 2? part #? the one i have now is faded/oxidized right where the glass ends and the plastic piece begins. or should i just try and paint the piece a gloss black?

I think that is actually aluminum or some sort of alloy, definatly not plastic, anyway, I jsut got myself some SEM Trim paint that was the original GM semigloss, and masked mine off...

they look like new

Pot metal, just like the handles, mirrors and headlight doors (on 'birds).

I don't believe (but not 100% positive) that piece is available seperate from the glass (#1).
Do as okfoz did or, you can get Trim Black paint made by Duplicolor. Should be availabe at most any major part store chains.

THe only reason I would try the SEM is I can get it to coat in one shot, and it looks awesome, had it on my car since '98 and it still looks great, but I only have 10,000 Miles on it since then... A little pricey, but I learned that with pray paint, I get what I pay for or I pay for what I got.
