Without mods, it wont fit a carbed engine if you have A/C.

so if were to scrap the a/c compressor on my 84 i could use it on it ? how much is the brace ? a/c in a t tops car in the midwest is pointless, although it was a cali car, so... hmm...

thanks

It should fit fine as long as you take out the A/C compressor.

Hello vjo90RS8

I have a question for you, wich company makes that air cleaner assembly? what size is that filter element? It will fit my 92 rs TBI (LO3) with the stock hood?

Thanks.

Please don't flame me, but do you think that STB would fit a Crossfire Camaro ?

I doubt it. I've been looking for an STB for my Crossfire T/A and I've come to the conclusion that I'll have to make one myself...

I dunno, it looks like ( even though it would be tight ) that the factory CFI aircleaner would fit in that STB. I wish somebody with a TBI car and that brace had a CFI buddy and would let them test fit it. ( Hint hint to all you TBI guys )

Check out this STB on Ebay for only $30 total - he's got 350 of them in the auction so that'll be the final price unless more than 350 people want one!

Ebay STB

I might just get one at that price and see if it'll fit with the Crossfire engine...

I just got an email from a fellow CFI'er. Tom 400CFI has the Edlebrock brace on his car and it fits with the stock aircleaner. You only need to clearance it if you run a lid spacer ( which is me ). So I think I'll try to pic up a used one to tweak a little so I gave have the brace and not have to take a hammer to my aircleaner.

That's good to know. I've got my bid in for one of the Jamex braces. I figure $30 was a cheap gamble that it would fit.
What kind of lid spacer are you using, and what does that do for the car?
Thanks,
Rob

I'm gonna run a 1/2" lid spacer in my car. I don't have the CFI intake in yet, my car is TBI right now. The spacers increase plenum volume which is really needed on CFI intake, plus mine will hold two "y" nozzles for nitrous. If that other brace fits please let me know.
