so if were to scrap the a/c compressor on my 84 i could use it on it ? how much is the brace ? a/c in a t tops car in the midwest is pointless, although it was a cali car, so... hmm...

I dunno, it looks like ( even though it would be tight ) that the factory CFI aircleaner would fit in that STB. I wish somebody with a TBI car and that brace had a CFI buddy and would let them test fit it. ( Hint hint to all you TBI guys

I just got an email from a fellow CFI'er. Tom 400CFI has the Edlebrock brace on his car and it fits with the stock aircleaner. You only need to clearance it if you run a lid spacer ( which is me
). So I think I'll try to pic up a used one to tweak a little so I gave have the brace and not have to take a hammer to my aircleaner.

I'm gonna run a 1/2" lid spacer in my car. I don't have the CFI intake in yet, my car is TBI right now. The spacers increase plenum volume which is really needed on CFI intake, plus mine will hold two "y" nozzles for nitrous. If that other brace fits please let me know.
