There was a time I let friends smoke in my car, but then I came to my senses and ended that. Once a guy asked if he could smoke weed in my car, simple answer "Fu(k NO!"

I just say no for one reason, because "Sh*t happens". They may bitch and say "I won't burn a hole in your seat", but remember... Sh*t happens, that's my motto.

I wish my car smelled like cherries, or even cigarettes. It sat for months and the t tops leaked and filled the passenger side floor with 3 inches of water. It smells like wet, dead a$$.

I smoke. However, never in my car. No one can, I'm also pretty finicky about people having drinks or what not. I may have a soda (with screw on cap) but if the worse happens, it would be my fault and I wouldn't have to bust a cap (gansterly speaking).

yes i let my good friends smoke in my car and drink. just not the eatting part. the main reason i let them smoke in my car is because we are all smokers . and if one of them burns a hole in the seat of the floor yeah iam going to get mad but you know what?? everthing is replaceable on the inside so i dont see what the big deal is about it. i mean dont get me wrong i love my car to death but iam not going to tell one of them they cant smoke cuz i dont want a hole that is so easy to fix or replace.

now wouldn't you rather them burn a hole in the seat or floor instead of your motor??? my motor is worth a hell of alot more money then anything on the inside of my car....

Yes

I don't smoke but I don't mind people who do. I let my friends smoke in my car, but the windows have to open and all ashs go out the window. It happens like once a week, it always airs out and no knows.....esp seeing that it is a convert and I am getting a new top, seats, carpet etc in the summer....I am not sure what I am gonna do then, I think only if the top is down I will let them smoke then..... but by then, they should all have their own cars.

I don't smoke personally, but I still let others smoke in my car. The interior isn't that great anymore anyway...

As for weed, I think that smells permanently rooted in the carpet now.

The previous owner smoked in my car and I made him vacuum and put in new airfresheners. I still found 2 cigs and some lighters though. I dont allow it cuz of 2 reasons: 1) if my parents smell it, they'll think it was me, and that would not be good, and 2)its stupid anywayz, and if its stupid, you dont do it in my car (except for crazy driving) but smoking, beer drinking, any drugs, not allowed.

You guys are way too nice. Definitely no smoking in the car! If you even smell like smoke (chain-smoking parents, friends, etc.) you will not even sit in the car.

I don't think I've ever laughed so hard at something I've read on thirdgen.org.
I have no idea what the inside of your car looks like, what you look like, or what your friends look like, but for some reason I could totally see that little exchange happening in my imagination.
Let me tell you.....that takes the cake. The other people in the room right now thought I was choking, I was laughing so hard.

Anyways, as for the pole, I smoke in my car, and I think that as one guy said "everything can be replaced." At any rate, I've never burned anything in my car, and I use air freshener.

Hey man I don't swing that way Is this your wishful thinking?

My friends know alot about cars, and they know that the third gens have been known to get hard cracked dashes. So they get in the car and are like "Oh yea man, nice and soft, this is in good shape"

So im like ok......Stop squeezing my dash please...

Or another time I let my friend sit in the drivers seat, then dosent he go and change the tilt on my wheel, WTF ITS NOT like your gonna drive it, so leave it alone

I perfer to drive alone I'm just too picky. Maybe It because I wanted a IROC forever and the cars still new to me, who knows.

Driving a open back road with the t 's out and smoking a cigar is what I dream about when I'm out babysitting the world.
Funny thing is even if I am smoking my friends don't out of respect for my car. I tell them they can but...

I smoke, everybody I know smokes, so what the hell. Its just some of my friends are A-Holes, I let everyone smoke in my car, but its different if you have an 2002 Cobra. My buddy thinks his new Rustang (actually his wifes, HAHA) is some kind of sweet car.
Well actually it is kinda badass. Doh, dont hurt me.

I hate cleaning all the ashes though, and the film on the windows, ah what a PITA to clean. Maybe its time to quit smoking, nah.

Hmmm this is interesting...The poll says about 24% smoke in their 3rd Gen and 76% do not......Considering how many may be smokers here that don't smoke in the car we aren't a very "politically correct" group Of course...How many of us have hollowed cats, loud exhausts, and other "politically UNcorrect" things done in/to our cars.

COOL POLL!!

Most of my friends that can't drive themselves don't smoke anyway, so it isn't too much of a problem.

What really ticked me off is when I agreed to give my cousin's girlfriend a ride home. We were all in my PARENTS' car (I didn't have my formula back then :-D ) and she was in the back seat... she didn't even ask. She just lit up. What will my (non-smoking) parents think when it smells like smoke in the car?

and people who do know what im talking about when i say beware of the hovering ciggerette it could re-enter!
well i've had experience w/ this, mostly in 4 dr cars when a rear window is open and someone in front chucks a cig.

People can't just sit, they always gotta be touchin something
lmao yeah i know what you mean, always playin w/ ****. but my biggest thing is people like to use the window to push the door shut this angers me. plus, they feel the need to slam the living **** out of the pass door when closing it, i guess they figure it's old must have to do that, but honestly the hinges on the pass side are perfect, you can tap the door shut. it's mostly my buddy w/ an 83 berlinetta and worn *** hinges

as for smoking, yeah i smoke in my car. it gets messy cause i ash in the ashtray but whatever, cleans easliy enough. usually the only time i smell it (cause i always have the window at least cracked) is if i'm smoking while i park, and roll up the window and trap a little bit of smoke in there....otherwise it usually airs out. i must say though, it's a little noticeable if i go on a long trip and smoke a whole lot, or if it's really wet/humid out it tends to bring a little smell out...

Yeah I know what you mean, my passenger door shuts like it is brand new (well maybe not, but close) and people still think they need to slam it, or open it with brute force. One dude even broke the handle off, why I dont know, but I guess he thought he needed to yank the door handle inside really hard to get the door to open.

My old lady thinks she needs to slam the door all the time too. I told her next time she does it that would be it, she wont be allowed to ride in my car again!

Never. No smoking, eating, or drinking for passengers, but I sometimes have a snack. That way if I spill something, I can only blame myself.
That's the rules of my car too. I've let a couple of girls eat in the car, but they uh....made it upto me later that night :sillylol: :sillylol:

As for smoking. The only smoking in my car is this, by me!!!......

Anyways, as for the pole, I smoke in my car, and I think that as one guy said "everything can be replaced." At any rate, I've never burned anything in my car, and I use air freshener.
Dude, I am not one to bust on others, but it is "poll", not "pole". Don't want you talking about smoking pole! As for smoking in the Maro, nope, not me and definately not anyone else.
