T-tops Leaking??!?!!?!!?!?!?!??!

DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THERE IS ANY POSSIBLE WAY TO STOP ALL WATER FROM GETTING IN THROUGH THE T TOPS!!!!!????? I just bought a whole new GM weatherstripping kit and had it installed 2 weeks ago. I step in my car this morning, and my drivers seat is soaking wet!!!!

PLUS, I have water leaking in through my rear hatch where the hinges are bolted to the body......

ARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH

I hear ya =(

I have an 84 z28 with ttops. Mine leak also, I put some cheapo foam striping in. I am almost 100% water is not coming by the striping but from the outside part of the t-top panel.

I am not sure how to shoove it. I have been in the car and water come from under the plastic cover on the t-top lock and mechcanism. I have taken the cover off and not been able to tell where water is coming from.

I do know that the weather stripping is keeping the water out from the cnet of the car.

If I had an extra pait of T-tops I would calk a pait to see if that was the problem.

I am not sue what to do. confused:

=(

sorry, just wanted you to know you are not the only one with that problem.

You might want to double check where this leak actually originates from. This post might start you in the right direction:

the way i fixed my leak was to brush silicone sealant over the hinges on the outside of the car. All you need is one coat of good sealer. 3M makes a good one called auto seal. GM had a TSB on this. So far so good and its been raining like hell here lately.

It's hard to say without seeing just how worn it is. It may work if not too worn. I'm going to have to replace my weatherstripping around the windows.

I have the same problem...

I have a 90 RS w/ t-tops....I took it to an auto glass place to have them just look at it. We took the interior apart around the headliner.....My t-top bar was rusted. All of my seals are in good shape. Anyone have a t-top bar for sale??? thanks....
