only at certian speeds i get this noise. most say its coming from the rear of the car, but i think its my cowl induction cause its only at certian speeds. any ideas?

 

is this with the windows up? it's possible the hood could do it in some strange an one off way, but i doubt it. the hood is smooth right? in otherwords no raised edges or anything abnormal?

if it's making a noise with the windows all the way down then it sounds like you have a problem. otherwise your windows aren't aligned properly. good luck.

 

well yeah i have this exact sound. its actually more of a sucking sound, as my car is carbed with the big block hood and an open air element. you can hear the carb suckin in the air and it gets louder the harder i get on it. its pretty neat i think

 

if have an open element air cleaner that is probably the noise you are hearing

 

no open element. its the stock 84TA cowl induction hood. so it might be my windows?? id does it with them up and down.

 

 

some air does come in there, but thats not whats casueing it. its only when i am on the gas pedel at higher speeds
