Hood Question

I want to buy the IROC TURBO Hood by ASCD and I was wondering were the best place to buy it from would be. I was thinking of americansportscardesign.com. Has anyone purchased a hood from them, or is there any place else I could try. I want a reliable place that sells quality hoods. Thanks a lot for your help!

www.up22.com has just the scoop that you can put on your metal hood. thats what im doing to my '88. It's a fiberglass scoop that bolts on and you mold around it. It only costs $100 and that does NOT include the louvers, just a thought.

If you are worried about weight or are not conserrned with the sturdyness of the stock hood, then I would defiantly go with the ASCD hood if I were you.

IF you like wanna keep you stock hood becuase it will not shatter like the fiberglass ones then get the scoop. I think of it as better safety becuase the metal hood will absorb, if g*d forbid i get in a crash it will buckle as if it were fiberglass it would shatter, and down goes all that money. Plus you save a lot of money by getting the scoop.

To be exact go here : http://www.up22.com/scoopw3.htm

Thanks for the link. I never knew they made a scoop like that. Would it fit my hood? I am attaching a picture. How hard would it be to install it? Would it look smooth or can you tell it was attached. Thanks a lot. This seems like it might be the way to go.

Has anyone actually bought this scoop and installed it? Is it good quality? How exactly does it install. Thanks for the help. I want to make sure that this is the route I want to go.
