Does anyone know if I can install the '82-84 Z28 ground effects (f+r spoilers, side skirts, etc) on an '85 or later car? Is it just a matter of unbolting the later gfx and bolting on the older stuff? or is some fabrication required?

I want to create an improved version of the '82 Z28 of my now departed youth and since I live in CA (and have to meet smog requirements) I am thinking it may be easier to buy a 5 speed, TPI car and make it look like a '82 Z, rather than get an actual '82-'84 and retrofit it with TPI, improved exhaust, trans, brakes, rear axle, etc all of which came standard on the TPI cars. Any opinions?

its just a matter of unbolting and boltin back up. excupt for the front ground effect becuz of different noses that came on the cars for the yrs.
