White Faced Interior Layouts
Where would I find files for liek the shifter and climate control white faced layouts online? Or are there any out there...? I want to totally customize my inside, Ive got the white faced gauges and white painted 4x6 speaker covers with teh white painted air vents on the side of the dash, and I made a ghetto white faced shifter layout but it looks ugly.

BuddyLee,
You can get the gauge and shifter overlays from MacEwen at: http://members.aol.com/rmacewen1/index.html
Shoot me an email if interested in the HVAC overlays. I will have them professionally made shortly, and they should run in the range of $25-30 somewhere.

I done replied to your other topic but what the heck. I have some for sale!https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...threadid=98487 and I'm including the Shift Overlay too. I looked at the pics on your site and it looks like you have the same Gauges as I do 140mph speedo and 5000 Redline/6000RPM tach.

I have gotten the proofs, but have not ordered any additional ones yet, as most of the people interested are "maybe's"
Here is a shot of what it looks like installed, but I'll try to remember to take a closer shot shortly:

nice looking ken; any reason why you didn't make them a complete overlay? it looks alot nicer when it surrounds the letters.......rather hard when the emblems are so small though!

Yes, there is a reason. The section above the top sliding **** is clear plastic which is how those letters are lighted up. The original black "overlay" is cut the exact same way if you look at it. If covering all of it, you would not be able to see it at night.
See, the whole "face" of the HVAC control is one big piece of plexiglass with a black overlay on top, which has a cutout for the ***** (including the area with the writing above the top ****) and for that little "fan" symbol - that's it. These are the same way.
Oh, and these overlays are made like a "sticker" where the entire back side is glue rather than just little tabs of double sided tape, similar to regular gauge overlays. The reason for that is that is that with all the moving parts/hands touching them all the time, the little tabs probably would not be enough to hold them steady in the long run. Another minor change from the gauge overlays are that these have a glossy finish, which prevents staining from from dirty fingers to be impossible to get off. I tried a more satin finish first, but staining WILL be a problem with that, while it is easy to wipe off of these.
