Most pearl mid-coat paints cost around the same as a regular base color, so you can roughly consider doubling the cost, not including clearcoat and addatives.
For my GTA, I think the basecoat (white) was about $65/qt and the midcoat (pearl) was about the same.
I'd just get a white pearl color package that you like instead of dicking with putting a pearl coat over a regular white color. I used a lexus color called Crystal White.

it's hard to get the pearlescant hue to show up in pics. The car just looks like another white car in most of the pics. This shows it a little:
so what did she run you overall for the paint job....I think i am gonna go with artic white....the whiter of the two....i dunno tho, your crystal white looks nice.....but i think i will let you have it...you found it first.

My paint-related materials cost me around $900. That translates into around $1100 retail. To have somebody paint it, expect to pay around $500-$800 above a regular 2-stage paint job.

you can see it when you pull inside a shop or at night.
you can see it when you pull inside a shop or at night. what i am lookn for is a car that will shine, i had a black car and miss that shine that it gave off, but i am not changing colors of the car....too much of a PITA to do it right. I am savn up for the paint job, everything elese on on hold. I also want a more modern lookn interior.
