Will running a 1LE prop valve adversely affect braking with 10.5 fronts?
I have been having trouble with my brakes since day 1. I changed everything but the booster and the prop valve, EVERYTHING. And the car still stops like crap. I wanted to change the prop valve out. I had planned on going bigger in the near future, so I wanted to know if I ran the larger 1LE prop valve on my car, would it be too much line pressure for the 10.5 front brakes.
My car was original 4wdb. Since then I;ve changed the rotors, all 4, all 4 calipers, stainless lines, and the master cyl.
Thanks fellas

Anyone? I would hate to run out and buy the 1LE valve if its going to be to much pressure for the small brakes. I really would like to do something about this, especially with wet weather looming on the horizon. Thanks fellas

It shouldn't. If anything you'd get more fluid up there.

I was under the impression (or at lest in 92) there wasn't any difference in the proportioning valves between the 4 wheel disks cars and the 1LEs.

No difference in master cylinders from '90-92 but the props are indeed different.

The brakes physically feel awesome, but they perform poorly. The pedal has no dull spots and is very firm. There is more than enough vacuum, its just that the damn pads do not grab!

For some reason the front calipers just lack that "bite." I dunno why. My 86 stopped better, and it was not 4wdb. It had more bite from the fronts, and mine are reman with new pads and braided lines. Hopeing the 1LE prop valve will solve this. Otherwise I might just have to hurry up with those bigger brakes.
