bubble flair brake lines

bubble flair brake lines

I need help with a brake line ! it is a 6mm line with a bubble flair. no auto parts store carries this and the dealer in town has to make it . and said he doesn't do brake lines can somebody help me by pass this garbage setup. It is the main brake line from the frt. of the vehicle to the tee in the rear

Transmission: T56, 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3.42, 3.42
1.) GM Metric to 3/16" (double flare)
2.) 3/16" to 1/4" adapter.

from there, we used 1/4" line to the 1/4" union (1/4" is like 6.35 mm) hooked to the 6mm line on the other side.

I had the same exact problem. do a search under my name and metric and you can find the post. Holpe this helps some,

I also found these at CarQuest.

I wouldn't suggest for anyone to use this but do use it myself. I use a 1\4" tube. You will need free up the metric fitting a little, if I remember about 6.5mm. Then use the first part of a sae double flare and you're done. Might be an idea to practise on a scrape piece first.
