Anybody running this front caliper set-up
Kept saying if I found a dual piston front caliper set-up I'n buy it. Is anybody running this thing and if so was it truely bolt on and go, did they give your p/n for replacement pads or are they a "must order from SSBC only? Did you notice an improved stopping power over the factory single piston?

I saw those calipers on the SSBC website and was interested in them also. They say that these calipers are a direct bolt on in place of the stock single piston caliper. The pads also look like they are the standard pads for the stock calipers. For $400 I wonder how much of an improvement you would get, since you aren't increasing the size of the pads or rotor.

That's kinda what I'm thinking, might allow for more even pressure across the pad than the single piston offers, but overall I'd like to have some real world feedback before I drop that kinda dime on something and then find out it is'nt any better than what I had.

I'd pass on them and even you guys stated the reasons: No rotor or pad size increase which is where the added performance of bigger brakes comes from. For the $400 they ask for the calipers alone, you're over halfway to the cost of a 13" C4 HD upgrade and almost halfway to the C5s should you go that big.
I'd pass on look into another style of upgrade.
