Sum this up for me please--conversion
I have been reading so many of the conversion threads, that I think my head is gonna explode. I have pretty much ruled out the 1LE due to price. I also have ruled out the C5 since I absolutely wanna keep my factory 16" GTA wheels.
I am undecided between an LS1 and a C4. I know there are a ton of conflicting opinions here, but cost is a factor(as always), and I really want the best conversion between the two. I know I will be changing my MC and prop valve, and want to get braided lines. I guess I was hoping someone could give me an honest opinion as to which would be most cost effective and mostly, fit my wheels. The brakes on my 88 GTA are in dire need of attention, and I will be (soon hopefully) also changing the rears to LS1. Any direction from those who have made the conversion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Maybe this will help: In order to run GTA wheels with LS1 brakes, you MUST use a spacer between the wheel and rotor face, otherwise the caliper will kit the back of the spokes. If you don't mind the spacer, go for it. Otherwise, you'd be limited to the C4 standards or a Baer 12" Sport kit.
Most cost effective? C4 Standards, around $650 in a kit form. I loved my C4s, I've since moved to 13" C4 HDs.

That is exactly what I needed to know. Thakns a ton for summing it up for me. Looks like C4 for me then. You still making the parts for the conversion? I know that time is an issue for me, and would be much nicer to have the brackets, hubs and hardware, or whatever you offer. Thanks again for the info.
