stock pad color
I know this is a weird question, but I am trying to work on a few minor details on my car that I am unsure of. When my 92 RS was brand new, what color were the brake pads? Were the backing plates painted, or were they just left bare metal from the factory?

Transmission: A4, A4, slated to be a T56
Most are coated with something, usually black. Otherwise they'd rust like hell.
