Manual brakes off an '85 truck?

My buddy totalled his '85 truck...I believe he said it was a C10. Would the manual brake setup off this be able to be adapted to my car fairly easily, or am I better off buying one of the kits for $100 or so?

i dont know of anyone that has swapped truck brakes on so i think you are on your own there. not saying it cant be done, but doubt you will find much help either. and for only $100, all you will be able to do is replace your stock stuff on your TA, $100 bucks wont allow you to upgrade hardly anything.

Don't really care much for upgrading anything, I have LS1 brakes in the back and within a week or so I'll have teh C4HD brakes installed up front. I just want to eliminate the power brake booster and such.
