Just like the topic says. I am wondering if the LS1 master cylinder has been tried and what you think of it?

I just got one but I haven't installed it yet. It looks like you might need to redo the lines from the MC to the Combo valve. The ports on the LS1 MC are closer to the booster so it screws up alignment. You could also just cut half an inch out of the bracket for the combo valve and reweld it.

it would be easier to route the front line right into the MC and get a wilwood porportioning valve for the rear, may have to change the end that screws into the MC but that doesnt take long to do.

Any updates? I've gathered everthing to do this swap myself and am interested in any road-blocks people have run into...

Roostmeyer has one installed. Other than that I have no other input, I plan on using one on my '70 but that's a long way off.

what are the advantages to doing this swap? I have a 4th gen disk rear in my car which originally had a drum rear. I just added the disk rear w/o any proportioning valve at all. Not sure if my car would stop better if I added one but Ihavent got to that part in my project yet. Is the 4th gen on better and if so in which way? is it smaller?
