Rear end swap and problems (searched already)
I installed (I belive ) a 84 posi disc rear from a camaro in my firebird. I had to go to NAPA to get the brake lines since my original ones did not fit.
In the beggining I had to pump the brakes to stop (although they were bled properly). For a while (few months) after that the brakes were great without pumping. Now, just tonight my pedal will stop normaly, than if I keep pressing it, it would go right to the ground. I am not sure if I have some kind of leak or not, but this seemed to happen after it rained over here in denver.
I will check the brake lines tomorow, but I need some help. Do I need a new proportioning valve, and master cylinder. Or can I do any kind of adjutstment on my stock valve, cylinder or brake lines.

well, you are on the right track. There is a leak somewhere, but I don't think it has anything to do with the fact that your rear is an 84 posi.
First thing I would check is brake fluid level in the reservior. If it has not gone down, then your lines, calipers and prop valve (most likely, don't know how they work internally) are all fine. In this case my best guess would be the seal around one of the pistons around the master cylinder.
Then again you said pedal goes all the way to the floor. If it was the master cylinder and one piston has gone bad, pedal would only go half way because the second piston should still hold pressure [I would think]
Start with checking for leaks

Found the f'n problem. My left rear metal brake line that sits on the driveshaft snaped in half. How it did that I have no idea. However, I went to pep boyz and I got a 30 inch one, and its a bit too big. However, everything fit fine.
Would this 30 inch one throw off my balance in the rear or not??
Also, I bled brakes before, but for the love of ***, I can not find the stupid bleeder valve. Does anyone have a picture of it.
Oh, my rear end is from an 86 IROC.
